$$ For Gasoline Each Year
6/24/2008

How much do you spend a year on gas? As we all know, gas prices continue to escalate to painful levels. The other day I decided to calculate how much I spend on gas every year. I didn't like the answer. I ran across an article on how to improve gas mileage. Guess what? The same techniques that save gas also save lives! Here are a few tips I want to pass along: 1. Slow Down and Cruise - 55 mph is a lot more fuel-efficient that 65 or 75. Use cruise control and/or overdrive if you have them. 2. Easy Does It - Quick starts and stops waste fuel and add wear and tear on your vehicle. 3. Clean out your trunk, etc. - The m ore weight you carry, the m ore gas you use. 4. Car for Your Car - Tune ups and oil changes increase fuel efficiency. Tire should have the proper air pressure. 5. All Gas Is Not Created Equal - Use the proper fuel octane for your vehicle. I hope you can use some of these tips to improve your gas mileage, keep you and your passengers safe, and put some money in your pocket. All of us at Lake Insurance, Inc. want you and your family to drive safely during 2006 and for years to come.
